Hip hop is an interesting art form because there are so many relationships that fluctuate over the years. Some relationships and alliances become bigger than others, while some remain silent, but stand the test of time. In the case of Rick Ross, he has gone through a lot of changes, but he can still count on Jay-Z.

Rick Ross signed to Def Jam via Slip-N-Slide Records in 2006. Immediately, they put out his Port of Miami debut album and the Miami rapper received a co-sign from Jay-Z. He jumped on the remix of his “Hustlin'” single and they also did the original “Maybach Music” track, along with countless others.

Last year brought “Three Kings” with Dr. Dre and this year has brought “#FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt.” The year will also bring “Devil Is A Lie” off Rick Ross’ forthcoming Mastermind. Rick Ross talked to Sway for MTV News about his upcoming single off the album due on December 17.
