The biggest new name in R&B isn’t so new to people who have played close attention to the game. Rico Love is no rookie, penning songs for Usher, Beyonce, and Kelly Rowland, among a host of others. Outside of songwriting, Rico Love has also rapped and is an executive and was in the French Montana bidding war.
Rico Love put out “They Don’t Know” late last year and the song became an immediate hit. He later followed it up with “Bitches Be Like,” ripped straight from the memes that fill Instagram. These two singles have made Rico Love into one of the game’s newest stars.
This morning, Rico Love started his day with Power 105.1 and Revolt TV’s trio of DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God for “The Breakfast Club.” He would discuss the “Bitches Be Like” single and how it’s taken off, along with this “beef” with Wale. After setting the record straight on that, Rico Love talked about the other things he has done, such as ghostwriting for Kelly Rowland.
