Riff Raff spends 500k to record at Drake’s home studio
When it comes to investing in yourself, one artist in particular isn’t afraid of covering the cost. Riff Raff spends $500,000 for a recording session at Drake’s home studio. Last week, news spread that Drake’s home studio was available to book on StuFinder for $250,000 per hour. Although Drake has not publicly stated if it is possible to rent, that didn’t stop Riff Raff from booking a two hour session.
Riff Raff is a rap artist who gained fame through his association with Soulja Boy’s Imprint label S.O.D Money Gang in the early 2000’s. Releasing his 2014 debut album Neon Icon under Diplo’s Mad Decent record label, Mac Miller and Slim Thug were some of the guest features. Although the album debuted number 22 on the billboard charts, Riff Raff eventually left Mad Decent records. Although he signed with Beartrap Sound in 2018, the label suddenly stopped releasing music.
Despite various record label deals, Riff Raff is still thriving and making music. With new singles on the way, it’s no surprise he wants to use the best quality to record with. Unfortunately, Drake’s listing does not include a Drake feature or an engineer, but the experience alone might be worth the price. StuFinder released a statement putting the Drake listing on hold, until confirmation with the star is made. The business also stated, Riff Raff would be refunded in full if confirmation could not be made.
