Usually, Rihanna has the biggest single out every year and drops an album around November. After 2012, this wasn’t the case, as Rihanna sought to depart Def Jam. She decided to join Jay Z at Roc Nation, full-time.

Rihanna returned in 2015 and immediately dropped “Bitch Better Have My Money.” The song sounds like the typical Rihanna track and it took a long time to catch on. But, it eventually did and Rihanna got another hit record.

Recently, Rihanna scored a $25 million deal with Samsung for her new album, ANTI, and the following tour. Despite the successful deal, Rihanna and her team are not confident about the album release in the wake of Adele’s reemergence. Aside from dropping out of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Rihanna is re-strategizing her album rollout.
