Rihanna named 74th most powerful woman of 2023
Rihanna already established herself as one of the wealthiest women in the world. In 2017, she shiftded her focus into the world of business. With that, she established the FENTY brand and made $200 million the first year. Using her celebrity status to launch the brand, Rihanna quickly made the transition into being an executive. As a result, last year, she became a billionaire. This year, Forbes has listed her at number seventy four on their Most Powerful Women of 2023 list.
Rihanna initially rose to fame during the summer of 2005. That year, she was signed to Def Jam by her mentor, Jay-Z. Immediately, they dropped “Pon de Replay” and it became one of the anthems of that summer. Few people could have predicted that Rihanna would continue dropping the anthem of the summer every year for the next seven years. But that’s exactly what happened. In addition, Rihanna became one of the biggest names in pop music.
Rihanna used to release new albums every year. When she didn’t return in 2013, fans were highly disappointed. She ended a four year hiatus with #ANTI and returned to the top of the charts. When fans expected more music, Rihanna stayed away. Now, she is focused on her family, as she and A$AP Rocky share two children. This year, she sold several shares of FENTY and is now an ambassador. In addition, she has been listed on Forbes’ Most Powerful Women of 2023 list, checking in at number seventy four.
