Rihanna is officially a billionaire, worth $1.7 billion, according to Forbes’ calculation

For nearly a decade, Rihanna held her fans down, every summer. From 2005-2012, she came with at least one summer anthem. Every year, it was guaranteed that she would top the Billboard Hot 100.

Rihanna went on a hiatus, from 2012-2016, and fans were upset with her. But, she spent her entire adult life making music, and touring. She wanted to do something different and, like her mentor, Jay-Z, she wanted to get into business.

After her 2016 return to music, Rihanna focused on business, first with her $25 million deal with Samsung, to promote her album. In 2017, she launched FENTY Beauty, which has become a huge success. Four years later, the success of the company has made her a billionaire, as Forbes said she is now worth $1.7 billion.
