Rihanna says next album will be “amazing”
2024 now marks over eight years now, since Rihanna’s last studio album. At the time, that was “Anti,” which is still regarded as one of Rihanna’s best projects to date. However, fans have since been anxiously waiting for Rihanna’s possible ninth studio album. Moreover, she hinted at that finally arriving sometime in late 2023, but ultimately didn’t happen.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is now opening up again about what fans can expect from her next album. She spoke with Extra during her Fenty Beauty’s Soft’lit Foundation. There, she emphasized that the forthcoming project will be “amazing,” and that’s why the wait for it has been as long as it’s been.
“It’s gonna be amazing, Rihanna explained. “It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I’m not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away … There should be a show of growth, right?”
This comes as over the past two years, Rihanna has also been going through motherhood. She’s had two children since May 2022, as both of them have come with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, who she’s been dating since late 2020.
