Rihanna sees massive increase in Spotify streams, after Super Bowl Halftime Show performance

Rihanna’s Spotify streams increase after Super Bowl performance

Last night, Rihanna finally hit the stage to perform, for the first time in nearly seven years. This was at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, in Glendale, AZ. This was a night where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35, and won their second Super Bowl in four years.

During Rihanna’s halftime performance, she delivered a 13-minute set, and sung plenty of her classic records. That included “Rude Boy,” “Diamonds,” “Only Girl In The World,” and more. That performance also saw Rihanna shock the world, by revealing that she’s expecting her second child. That came after fans noticed that she was sporting a baby bump.

Following Rihanna’s performance, her streams began to skyrocket. According to Spotify, between 11PM-12AM, there was a massive increase in streams for many of Rih’s hit records. Those included 2,600% for “B*tch Better Have My Money,” 1,400 for “Diamonds,” and much more, on that platform.

There had been many rumors about a new Rihanna album and tour coming, but fans aren’t very optimistic about those happening anymore, due to her pregnancy news. Her last album came way back in January 2016, which was “Anti.”
