Last week, Rihanna filed a lawsuit against her former accountant due to her mismanaging her money in 2009. Since 2005, Rihanna’s been one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. But, by 2009, she was close to broke and it came from the advice from her former accountant.
Since then, Rihanna has more than re-established her net worth, as she released three albums, one for each following year. Rihanna did not put out a new album in 2013, but that was only to make 2014 a bigger year. Doing her best Justin Timberlake impression, Rihanna has two albums planned for this year.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has had her attorneys fighting against her former accountant for his poor advice. Originally, Rihanna filed a lawsuit for $35 million, which would nearly double her net worth, which currently stands at $45 million. But, today, a settlement was reached at $10 million, which makes up for the financial losses Rihanna endured in 2009.
