Rihanna’s “Diamonds” single goes diamond in US

Rihanna has still yet to release new music for fans since 2021, but the legendary milestones for her career keep rolling in. The latest is for her 2012 “Diamonds” single.

Diamonds has now officially been certified diamond by the RIAA, in the US. This comes after selling over 10 million units, per Chart Data. Moreover, it is also Rihanna’s first ever diamond solo single.

Furthermore, Diaminds marks Rihanna’s third overall diamond record. The other two were on Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” and Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love.

Diamonds went on to appear on Rihanna’s seventh studio album, “Unapologetic,” in November 2012. That project went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Diamonds also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 14 songs were available on Unapologetic, including appearances from Future, David Guetta, Eminem, and more.

Since Rihanna’s last studio album, “Anti,” in 2016, she has since been focused on building hee Fenty beauty and lingerie empire. As a result, she has since become a billionaire. Over the last two years, Rihanna has also entered motherhood. Since 2022, she’s had two children, all with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.
