One of the main reasons people were ready for 2016 to end was because of all the deaths. In the lives of many, they had to say goodbye to both loved ones and celebrities. Now, the opening days of 2017 see another death.

DJ Crazy Toones is not a name that may be familiar with younger hip hop fans, or casual fans. But, those who are big fans of the G-Funk era of West Coast hip hop recognize Crazy Toones as a pioneer. Among the people he worked closes with was WC and The Maad Circle.

This afternoon, news has broken of DJ Crazy Toones dying. Details are scarce, at this point, but all of the major hip hop figures have given their condolences. Fans have taken to Twitter to pay their respects to Crazy Toones.
