Every day, people die, and that’s never going to change, but the hip hop world is really going through it. Several rappers, most notably Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, XXXTENTACION, and Fredo Santana have died over the past calendar year. But, there are many other rappers that passed away.
Though a few rappers have died from a gunshot, XXXTENTACION and Nipsey Hussle most notable, many have died from substance abuse. While Fredo Santana was the first to die from drugs, Mac Miller’s death was most-notable over drugs. Since then, many rappers have vowed to make changes.
Hella Sketchy is a rapper that came up in this current era, getting his start on the rap discussion forums. But, he wound up finding success, on the viral level, making a name for himself. Earlier this month, Hella Sketchy fell into a coma, from an overdose, and reports today say he has died, leading to Twitter paying their respects to him.
