It always sucks to come forward with stories like this. But, Combat Jack, real name Reggie Osse’, has died this morning. The past few years have been a struggle for Combat Jack, who had cancer, following previous legal struggles.
Combat Jack is one of the pioneers in hip hop podcasting, as he started alongside Joe Budden. Unfortunately, Combat Jack was never fully able to re-cement himself, as he once was. The sad part is that he’ll never be able to, which is tough for real hip hop heads.
Not only was Combat Jack passionate about hip hop, he was a true historian of the culture. At 48 years old, Combat Jack is no longer with us, as his aggressive form of colon cancer that claimed his life. The world will miss him.
