Earlier this month, New York rapper Fred The Godson announced that he had been battling COVID-19 as he was seen on a ventilator in a hospital bed. He’s been fighting hard as hip-hop as been praying for him but today, he reportedly passed away from the virus at the age of 35, according to Complex.

Social media immediately paid their respects to Fred, including French Montana, who posted a throwback photo with him. He said “RIP @FredTheGodsonMusic damn this is wack! Stay home corona is real.” This virus doesn’t discriminate and can sadly definitely harm anyone.

Godson released his ‘God Level’ album last year along with the ‘Gorilla Glue’ project with Joell Ortiz and The Heatmakerz. He was first known by fans back in XXL when he graced the 2011 Freshman cover with Kendrick Lamar, YG, Meek Mill, and more.
