Robert Alexander talks directing Shaq’s HBO docuseries

Robert Alexander is the man that Shaquille O’Neal turned to in order to bring his story to life. The journey that Shaq took was an unlikely journey into superstardom. Growing up as a military brat, Shaq traveled the world, with his parents. A large child, Shaq grew to 7 feet tall before he even turned sixteen years old. As a result, he played basketball.

Robert Alexander, meanwhile, is a force in the entertainment history. In addition to Shaquille O’Neal, Alexander has also worked with the likes of Will Smith, Kevin Hart, Travis Scott, and Barack Obama. Through his career, Rob has done all kinds of projects. Much of his work has centered around the NBA, which can be found on his official website.

Robert Alexander is the director of Shaquille O’Neal’s new docuseries, which is called “SHAQ.” The first episode of the series premieres tomorrow, on HBO. Hip-HopVibe.com’s correspondent, Alyssa Debonair, was on the red carpet in Atlanta. There, she had the opportunity to speak with Robert Alexander. He shared the story of how he and Shaq joined forces to bring this project to life. Also, he mentioned much of what they created didn’t make the final cut. If it did, Alexander said the project would have been seventeen hours long.
