Roc Nation pre-Grammys brunch will not take place in 2024
The Roc Nation Brunch has become the thing most people in entertainment aspire to attend. For years, people have been flocking to LA for Grammy Weekend. A few years ago, this ended up becoming a joke on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” An episode centered on various cast members going out there for the various events. However, Rasheeda jokingly, but seriously, said she wasn’t going since she wasn’t nominated. This same time saw the Roc Nation Brunch launch, but it won’t take place this year.
Jay-Z is the CEO of Roc Nation and he’s done a lot for the industry and culture. Among those things is create an event during Grammy weekend that dominates headlines. As a result, people who normally wouldn’t be a part of the conversation are among people who attend. However, this year is going to be a bit different. Already, a few people known for being high profile guests are receiving negative press, and won’t even be invited to the main Grammys.
Abruptly, the Roc Nation Brunch is not happening in 2024. Last year, they returned for the 2023 brunch, after taking the previous two years off. The previous two years saw the brunch not take place, due to COVID-19. Now, the 2024 brunch is being called off. However, Jay-Z and Beyonce will be attending the annual Clive Davis event. They will be there in support of Jon Platt, who currently serves as the CEO of Sony Music Publishing.
