Rockie Fresh talks Electric Highway in exclusive Hip Hop Vibe interview
During Rockie Fresh’ listening session in New York City, Hip Hop Vibe had the opportunity to speak with him. Today, Rockie Fresh will release Electric Highway, his first project since signing with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music in July 2012. Rockie Fresh has been doing his thing with the mixtapes for some time.
The year of 2013 is expected to be a major year for Maybach Music, as a whole. Rick Ross, Gunplay, and Wale all have albums coming, along with the new Self Made compilation. Rockie Fresh will also release his debut album later this year, but the focus is currently on Electric Highyway. At his New York City listening session, his latest mixtape was met with praise.
Rockie Fresh talked to Hip Hop Vibe about how he put Electric Highway together. In the interview, Rockie Fresh revealed he did not do much writing on this project. Instead, he found himself more of a studio rat when it came to making Electric Highway and he feels this project will stand out because of it. This is one of 2013’s first music releases.
