Roddy Ricch became a star in 2019 as he released his debut album ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial’ in December. The biggest record to emerge from this project was “The Box.” Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t even one of the original singles.

Roddy’s album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has since been certified platinum. The Box is still one of the hottest records in the country as it has become certified 6x platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data.

As of now, The Box stands at No. 7 on the Hot 100. Its momentum from 2019 hasn’t gone anywhere. Hopefully, we get Roddy’s sophomore album sometime this year as well. Roddy may be taking a brief hiatus though due to welcoming his son into the world. He recently reached No. 4 on the Hot 100 as well on DaBaby’s new hit single, “Rockstar.”
