Ronald Reagan speaks on immigration during his presidency and the man who inspired today’s conservatives had immigration views more in line with present-day liberals [VIDEO]

The man who is the forefather of current American conservatism is the 40th president, Ronald Reagan. To date, no presidential candidate has enjoyed an electoral victory of his proportion. His views helped transform the Republican Party.

Nearly every major member of the Republican Party cite Ronald Reagan as their inspiration. Meanwhile, Reagan was inspired by the president of the mid/late 1920s, Calvin Coolidge. Regardless, both presidents had views on how America should be governed.

Ronald Reagan died in 2004, but his name still gets a mention on a near-daily basis. This morning, an old Ronald Reagan video clip on immigration resurfaced and it showed something a bit challenging. While current Republicans are all for building a wall, Ronald Reagan had more moderate views on immigration, shown in this video.
