Kevin Durant is leaving the Warriors to sign with the Washington Wizards? Rumors suggest KD is finally going home, after someone thinks they found his burner Twitter account, talking about the #NBAFinals and leaving Golden State

Rumors of Kevin Durant leaving Warriors for Wizards start after title

Last week, the Warriors won the 2018 championship. This is their second straight title. In addition, Kevin Durant just took home his second straight Finals MVP award. Now, rumor has it that he’s leaving in free agency to sign with the Washington Wizards.

Some might say 2016 was the most-critical year in the entire history of the Golden State Warriors. Coming into the season the defending champions, the Warriors were chasing history. Leading Golden State to a 24-0 record to start the season, Steph Curry won MVP unanimously.

Already, Stephen Curry was the reigning MVP, but going 73-9 just cemented his legacy. When the playoffs hit, he got injured, though, and the Oklahoma City Thunder exposed them. Golden State survived that series, but lost to Cleveland.

In 2016, the Warriors signed Kevin Durant, as he proved to be their toughest opposition, in the West. With him out of the way, and on their team, the Warriors reclaimed the top spot, where they currently sit, winning their second of two titles. Now, there is a rumor circulating on Twitter that KD is leaving for his hometown team, Washington Wizards, as there is speculation that one Twitter account going in is one of KD’s accounts.
