Even if a person doesn’t like Russell Westbrook or the Thunder, they have to admit they like how Russ gets down. It would’ve been easy to give up after Kevin Durant left. Instead, Westbrook signed his extension right after he left, leaving no mystery of his goals.
Being the primary guy, Russell Westbrook had to take on all responsibilities, but kept the Thunder a playoff team. Early in the season, they held the top record out West. Even when they fell, they didn’t fall far and they made these five games tough on Houston.
Last night, the Thunder lost a close game to the Rockets, which featured an altercation with Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverly. During the post-game interview, Westbrook was asked about this, along with the series and the rest of the season. He was sitting alongside Taj Gibson, but that was overshadowed by his comments about Beverly’s defense.
