Sarah Dash, from LaBelle, unexpectedly died, at the age of 76; She performed with Patti LaBelle, two days ago

Soul music and old school music fans woke up to tragic news, this morning. Reports said Sarah Dash, of LaBelle, died, which were confirmed by members of Dash’s family. Her death was unexpected and she was 76 years old.

As a member of LaBelle, Sarah Dash rose to fame, in the 1960s and 1970s. During this span of time, they created many hits. The most-recognizable, to the current generation, is “Lady Marmalade.”

Sarah Dash died and it was unexpected, according to those close to her. But, her nieces spoke out, saying their aunt died singing. She recently was with Gladys Knight and, just two days ago, she performed with Patti LaBelle.
