Saweetie’s “Best Friend” Single Featuring Doja Cat Reaches Gold Certification

At the start of 2021, Saweetie put out another hit single that fans still love in “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat. This came after the success of the “Back To The Streets” single featuring Jhené Aiko in October. Best Friend still has a lot of momentum and now, it has just earned a plaque.

According to Chart Data, “Best Friend” is now eligible for gold status by the RIAA. This is after selling 500,000 units. The music video has also been posting huge numbers as its at close to 82 million views. This record’s success continues to elevate as it’s regarded as one of the Bay Area native’s best records to date.

Best Friend is also currently sitting at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Many fans expect her to hopefully release this single on her debut album sometime this year. No plans have been made yet for this album though as her last project was her “ICY” EP in 2019. The debut album is rumored to be titled “Pretty B*tch Music.”
