Saweetie broke out as a star last summer with the release of her hit single, “My Type.” This record ended up appearing on her “Icy” EP. This also featured her boyfriend, Quavo, on two records. Prior to Icy, she put out her debut EP ‘High Maintenance’ in 2018
My Type continues to be a hot record as according to Chart Data, it has now been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, this was played at many events around the country such as sporting events at arenas and stadiums along with festivals. When My Type grew in popularity, Saweetie soon received features from City Girls and Jhené Aiko for the official remix.
After all the success that My Type has experienced, fans now await Saweetie’s debut album.
