Scarface talks new book, “Diary of a Madman,” Def Jam, health issues, regional hip hop, and more “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Scarface Breakfast ClubGoing on twenty years, the South has been running the rap game. The man who shifted the focal point to the South was Scarface, the Houston native. A standout member of Geto Boyz, Scarface has gone on to become a legend in hip hop.

Scarface made a lot of noise over the course of his career. This led to him joining Def Jam in an executive capacity, taking over Def Jam South. One of his earliest deals was bringing Ludacris to the label, a deal that is still in place.

This morning, Scarface was in New York City and visited Power 105.1 to talk to “The Breakfast Club.” In his interview, Scarface talked to Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy about Diary of a Madman, his new book. The interview also consisted of him talking about Def Jam, his various issues with health, physically and mentally, and the Southern hip hop scene.
