School shooting at Iowa high school leaves one person dead
This morning, most of the world awoke to news another school shooting. Perry, Iowa is the location of the latest tragedy. Like most of the mass shootings, the gunman ended up shooting himself, after the massacre was over. There were multiple gunshot victims, but there is only one reported fatality, as of press time. As a result, law enforcement has the entire crime scene covered.
Over the past twenty-five years, mass shootings have become more common. Sadly, this is especially true at schools. People have multiple reasons for committing such heinous acts, none of which justify the extreme measures they go to. This morning, someone opened fire in Iowa’s Perry High School. As a result, the school’s students and staff were terrified. In addition, the parents were terrified.
While law enforcement, on the scene, has secured the premises, details are scarce. Things are being kept under wraps, as the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are working with the local law enforcement. Together, they are trying to investigate exactly what led to these unfortunate series of events.
