ScHoolboy Q explains his quest for Kendrick Lamar’s throne on “RapFix Live” [VIDEO]
Next month, ScHoolboy Q will release Oxymoron, his long-awaited major label debut album. His album will be released on Interscope Records and this is a chance for ScHoolboy Q to prove he is just as good as Kendrick Lamar. Within TDE, there is a friendly, yet tense, rivalry between the rappers.
In 2012, Kendrick Lamar had a dominating run with good kid, m.A.A.d. city and this is when ScHoolboy Q’s popularity swelled. During his interviews, ScHoolboy Q said he wanted just as big of a spotlight when he dropped. Before even dropping his debut album, ScHoolboy Q found himself becoming a dominant figure.
ScHoolboy Q recently stopped by Sway Calloway’s cough at MTV’s “RapFix Live” and he spoke on this competition. At times, the things ScHoolboy Q says about Kendrick Lamar can be confused as an actual beef. But, ScHoolboy Q talked about all of this during his interview with Sway, explaining his quest.
