ScHoolboy Q is back after a brief hiatus and he’s sharing with fans and the world what he’s been up to. Continuing to receive praise for his new album Blue Lips, the rap sensation is appearing everywhere. His most recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s podcast A Safe Place, shed light on an interesting passion of his. ScHoolboy Q told details about his love for golfing and how lucrative the sport is for him. He then shared he “made more money from golfing in five years, than he made from music”.

 

The South Los Angeles native is one of the most unique voices to rise from the West Coast. Although he released two successful studio albums in 2011 and 2012, his third album Oxymoron put ScHoolboy Q on the world map. Released under Interscope records, his first major label release included singles “Collard Greens” featuring Kendrick Lamar, “Man of The Year”, “Hell of a Night” and “Studio”. The latter of which received triple platinum certification. Aside from his own sound, he gave an incredible feature on Tinashe’s single “2 On”.

With Blue Lips continuing to move up the charts, fans are excited to hear more of ScHoolboy’s passion behind his music. During the interview he shared that music lead him to golf but he always finds a way back to his sound. He also spoke on the industry, record labels and racism throughout the interview.
