ScHoolboy Q talks new music, drug addiction, 50 Cent not being on “Oxymoron,” and more with Angie Martinez [VIDEO]

ScHoolboy Q Angie MartinezEver since Kendrick Lamar had his breakout year in 2011, there has been a lot of anticipation surrounding the entire TDE camp. Many fans have argued that ScHoolboy Q is just as good as Kendrick Lamar, if not better. What most originally didn’t expect was for ScHoolboy Q to agree with those sentiments.

ScHoolboy Q is a far cry from a good kid, as he was a gang member in Los Angeles before focusing on sports. Even when he was away from the gang scene, he still got addicted to using drugs. But, ScHoolboy Q turned it all around to focus on rap and now he’s on Interscope Records.

In five days, ScHoolboy Q will releaseĀ Oxymoron and he recently stopped by Hot 97 to promote the album. Already, he live streamed the album at the Hot 97 studios. Later, ScHoolboy Q talked to Angie Martinez about his upcoming album, which will not include 50 Cent and he explained why, in addition to discussing his drug issues.
