What is this world coming to? Once again, there is another major gathering and then there is another massacre. This time around, the fiasco took place in New Orleans on a day where families were supposed to be happy. Today is Mother’s Day and this is the time when people come together.
In New Orleans, most families were in town and visiting the New Orleans Mother’s Day Parade. One of the most beautiful cities, New Orleans is also ridden with violence and gang activity. This has been mentioned in lyrics from the likes of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and other New Orleans hip hop superstars.
At the New Orleans Mother’s Day Parade, seventeen people were shot, obviously killing the happy mood. Two or three gunmen opened fire during the parade, according to reports from CNN. The FBI is investigating the situation and they linked the shooting to more gang violence instead of another terrorist plot.
