Sexyy Red denies that fatal shooting occurred at her video shoot

On Thursday, Sexyy Red continued to shoot more visuals for singles. This time, it’s for her unreleased “Shake Yo Dreads” single, as the video for it was shot in the Broward County area of Florida, at the Oakland Flea Market. Moreover, this comes after Sexyy initially previewed the song while on Instagram Live, last week.

However, a fatal shooting occurred nearby. A man opened fire, as two people were shot. As a result, one person went on to pass away due to their injuries, per Local 10.

Meanwhile, Sexyy is now addressing accusations that the shooting occurred at her video shoot. Therefore, she’s now taken to her Instagram stories, to claim that the shooting actually went down at a gas station that was across the street from the shoot. Frequent collaborator Sukihana also attended the video shoot.

“To be clear it happened at a gas station across the street from my video set. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward County Sheriff confirmed that the shooting wasn’t on my set. I’m secure and thanks to my production team getting all the paperwork right and working with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to hire off-duty’s to make sure everyone was safe. We finished the shoot at a different location and everyone from our set went home safely. Period.”
