Sexyy Red’s “Pound Town 2” with Nicki Minaj & Tay Keith goes gold
Sexyy Red has been one of the biggest breakout artists in hip-hop in 2023, as her “Pound Town” single helped her go viral, in the spring. As a result, the Pound Town single and video became so major, that Sexyy earned a huge feature from Nicki Minaj on the remix for it. That record became “Pound Town 2.” Currently, it stands at number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Meanwhile, Pound Town 2 has just reached another key milestone. It has now reached gold eligibility in the US, after selling over 500,000 units, according to Chart Data.
Pound Town 2 also went on to appear on Sexyy’s debut mixtape, “Hood Hottest Princess,” in June. That project contained 11 songs in total, which was also led by additional singles such as “Female Gucci Mane” and “Born By The River” featuring Sukihana.
Currenly, Sexyy Red is performing on Moneybagg Yo’s “Larger Than Life” Tour. Her performance in Atlanta on Friday went viral as well, as she let Summer Walker and Saucy Santana dance on stage with her.
