Program changes led to BET dropping all of their music programming with the exception of “106 & Park.” This is something Sommore briefly discussed with Hip Hop Vibe, earlier this spring when she had a chat with us. Currently living its third life, “106 & Park” has hit its stride with Bow Wow hosting the show.
Taking his hosting duties very seriously, Bow Wow decided to begin using his real name, Shad Moss, professionally. Recently, Shad Moss and Keshia Chante took time off from “106 & Park” and they had Karrueche Tran guest host the show. Commenting on the MTV Video Music Awards, Tran made a bad joke about Blue Ivy’s hair.
Seeing how BET didn’t air “106 & Park” the following day, rumor had it that Jay-Z and Beyonce had the show pulled. This is something Shad Moss has denied ever since the rumor began. But, he later took to Instagram with a video where he said the show is on annual hiatus and he also posted a photo of him and Free, the show’s original host.
