In 2007, Dwight Howard established himself as a star in the NBA, during his third season in the league. Dwight Howard led the Orlando Magic back to the playoffs for the first time in four years and made his first All-Star appearance. The rise of Dwight Howard came at the same time Shaquille O’Neal was on a rapid decline.

The Miami Heat went from being the NBA champions to one of the sub-par teams in the league. Suddenly, Dwight Howard became the focal point big man of the league, adopting the Superman moniker. Shaquille O’Neal, from this point on, became one of Howard’s most vocal critics, as he used his nickname and played for his former team.

Shaquille O’Neal retired from the NBA in 2011 and Dwight Howard followed his trail, leaving the Magic for the Los Angeles Lakers. Howard is expected to team up with Kobe Bryant to form a duo similar to Shaq’s with Kobe. Recently, Shaquille O’Neal freestyled with current freestyle king, Loaded Lux, and he took shots at Dwight Howard.
