A man who plays a big role, but rarely makes appearances is Shawn Pecas, a longtime executive in the music industry. Often, Pecas can be found with Jay-Z and has been a part of the Def Jam executive team for some time. Any time a buzzing unsigned rapper is seen with Pecas, it is assumed they will sign with Def Jam.
Given how close Shawn Pecas is with Jay-Z, rumors mounted of him joining Roc Nation, which are all true. Going back to his interest in sports, Shawn Pecas is going to be a part of the Roc Nation Sports division. But, he is continuing to serve his term out at Def Jam before it all ends.
Shawn Pecas made his debut on “The Breakfast Club,” when he showed up at Power 105.1 to discuss his career. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God welcomed Pecas in and he gave an in-depth interview. He explained how he first got in the music industry, detailed leaving Def Jam for Roc Nation, his interests in music, sports, the streets, and sitcoms.
