Out of the spotlight for two years, Shawnna is preparing to return stronger than ever. She is currently in the studio, working on new music. Initially, Shawnna was signed to Ludacris’ DTP, but she left the label in the middle of recording her their album, Battle of the Sexes. Shawnna had signed to T-Pain’s Nappy Boy, but then went on hiatus.
The past two years have gone by without much music from Shawnna. At one point delivering such hit singles as “Gettin’ Some Head,” Shawnna had virtually disappeared. During her interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” she revealed she had a baby and was taking care of her. Now, Shawnna is back and ready to make new music at a time when many are wondering where she went.
Recently, Shawnna announced she was working on a new mixtape, properly titled She’s Alive. Shawnna discussed her new project with Invasion Radio.
