Shenseea aids Hurricane Beryl victims in Jamaica

This weekend, Grammy award-nominated Jamaican pop star Shenseea made a heartfelt return to her hometown of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, to provide crucial assistance to those severely affected by Hurricane Beryl. The devastating Category 4 storm struck on July 3, unleashing fierce winds and torrential rain that wreaked havoc across the southeastern Caribbean. Jamaica bore the brunt of the storm, suffering at least seven fatalities and displacing nearly 500 residents who sought refuge in shelters.

In response to the disaster, Shenseea teamed up with Major Marketing, Honey Bun Ja, Lasco iCool Water, Grace Foods, Digicel, LP Azar, and Stoplight Wholesale to deliver essential aid to her fellow Jamaicans. Accompanied by her son, Rajeiro Lee, Shenseea visited St. Elizabeth, one of Jamaica’s largest parishes, distributing tarpaulins and food packages to 300 residents in need.

Shenseea’s visit was more than just a delivery of supplies; it was a demonstration of solidarity and hope. She spent time speaking with families affected by the hurricane, offering words of encouragement and comfort. Her compassionate efforts were recognized by Jamaican Government Senator Abka Fitz-Henley, who praised her kindness and dedication during this challenging time.

Shenseea’s actions underscore the importance of community and support in the wake of natural disasters. Her commitment to aiding her fellow Jamaicans highlights the power of unity and resilience. As the recovery process continues, Shenseea’s involvement serves as an inspiring example of how individuals can make a significant difference in times of crisis.

Moreover, Shenseea’s latest humanitarian efforts in Jamaica also come after she released her sophomore album, “Never Gets Late Here,” in May. 14 songs are included, as well as features from Coi Leray, Wizkid, and more. Furthermore, her Never Gets Late Here Tour is also kicking off in August.
