Shock G’s Funeral Will Take Place in Tampa This Weekend; Digital Underground Members Will Attend Along With 2Pac’s Stepbrother, Mopreme Shakur

Last week, hip-hop suffered another loss after finding out that Digital Underground’s Shock G passed away 57. He is viewed as an icon and also the one who helped turn 2Pac into a star. Now, funeral arrangements have been set as he will be laid to rest this weekend, according to TMZ.

G’s funeral will take place in Tampa, as confirmed by his manager, Atron Gregory. Digital Underground founders Money B and DJ Fuze will be among the ones in attendance. 2Pac’s stepbrother, Mopreme Shakur, is also said to be coming to Tampa for the memorial as well.

As of now, there is still no new information regarding G’s cause of death. He was initially found dead inside of a Tampa hotel room. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner added that a hotel manager said they saw G walking around the day before he passed. What started to raise an alarm was when G missed his check-out time. From that point, the hip-hop legend was found unresponsive in the room he was staying in.
