Shooter on UNC Chapel Hill campus for second time in 3 weeks

Only weeks ago, an active shooter was at UNC Chapel Hill, forcing a lockdown. As a result of that shooting, a professor lost his life. Since that time, there have been complaints from the students about stricter gun control laws. Vigils and protests are still taking place on the campus. However, despite all of this, UNC Chapel Hill is back under lockdown, due to yet another active shooter.

Mass shootings have been taking place for some time. However, since the 1990s, they have become more commonplace. Specifically, since the Columbine shooting, more people have gone out in public and shot places up. Unfortunately, school campuses have become a common place for shootings. Since the 2010s, mass shootings have become that much more commonplace.

UNC Chapel Hill is still reeling from the shooting that took place on August 28. People just learning about the second shooting are shocked at what they’re seeing. So, imagine what it feels like to actually be on the campus. Only weeks after the last shooting, there is another shooter on the campus, who is forcing people to shelter in place.
