Shy Glizzy finally releases video for 2014 breakout “White Girl” single, after it recently went platinum

Shy Glizzy finally releases “White Girl” video eight years later

Back in 2014, Shy Glizzy emerged as one of the hottest rappers out of the D.C/Maryland/Virginia area. At the time, he was buzzing with his “White Girl” single. At the time, that appeared on Glizzy’s “Young Jefe” mixtape, as he also collaborated with Plies, Peewee Longway, Young Thug, and more, on that project.

Now, Glizzy’s White Girl single has officially achieved platinum status. The D.C. rapper recently spoke on this on Instagram, as he reminisced on this record’s success.

“White Girl certified 💿 100% independently without any distribution or radio and I own all my masters and publishing (sorry I had to pop my shit 😩). I set myself up for the win, never sold out! But it’s all THANKS TO Y’ALL.. When you have amazing fans that believe in you then all is possible. They tryna count me out, but I was taught to put my trust in God and not in ppl. Stay tuned… GG 💚”

However, on Friday, Glizzy also finally went on to release the visuals for White Girl. Fans were ecstatic about this, while others wondered why it took so long, for these to come out.

This year, Glizzy has released singles such as “Borderline” featuring EST Gee and “Underrated.” His latest project was his “Don’t Feed The Sharks” 2021 compilation album, with Glizzy Gang.
