Man, it just isn’t “The Breakfast Club” until Charlamagne Tha God pisses somebody off. But, this time, dude didn’t even say anything that out of line. He was talking with Rae Sremmurd and mentioned Migos, and their success.
Being in Rae Sremmurd’s position, or just looking at them, from their perspective, it’s a frustrating question. Both groups came out during the same span of time. While Rae Sremmurd made hits, the year they took off, 2016, was the year Migos took over.
So, when Charlamagne used Migos as a reference point, Slim Jxmmi checked him. Before he could even finish the question, Slim Jxmmi let him know Rae Sremmurd was its own thing. However, he did give Migos props, referring to them as their “bros,” and shouting them out.
