Snoop Dogg worked hard to gain ownership of Death Row Records. When Snoop Dogg was getting started, Death Row was the label to give Snoop his first record deal. As a result, Snoop Dogg became the flagship artist of the then-new label. In turn, Death Row became a house of horrors, leading to Snoop, and all of the other artists, leaving the label.

Snoop Dogg would go onto enjoy a long and successful career. In fact, Snoop Dogg is one of the most successful rappers of all time. However, Snoop Dogg was not looked at like a true businessman. All of this changed, over the past couple of years. First, Snoop Dogg took an executive role with Def Jam, signing Benny The Butcher. After that, Snoop Dogg purchased Death Row Records, promising to build a new legacy, while restoring the glory of the label.

Snoop Dogg hopes to do with Death Row Records what Joe Lacob and his team did with the Golden State Warriors. This summer, the Warriors won their fourth championship in eight years. In addition, the Warriors made their sixth NBA Finals appearance in eight years. Finally, the Warriors’ franchise star, Stephen Curry, won Finals MVP. After that, Stephen Curry met with Snoop Dogg, who gifted him with his own Death Row chain.
