Snoop Dogg, Live Nation, and Los Angeles Football Club, are being sued by Drakeo The Ruler’s brother, for Drakeo’s death, at Once Upon A Time In LA Festival

Lawsuit filed for Drakeo The Ruler’s death

Back in December, Los Angeles lost one of their biggest rising stars, in Drakeo The Ruler. Drakeo ended up being stabbed, after a huge brawl ensued. This was before Drakeo was set to perform at the Once Upon A Time In LA Festival.

This incident occurred right before Drakeo was supposed to take the stage. When news broke of the stabbing, the rest of the concert ended up being canceled.

Snoop Dogg and Live Nation were organizers of this festival, and now, they are facing a lawsuit from Drakeo’s brother, according to court documents obtained by Hip-HopVibe. Devante Caldwell, Calvin Webb, Terrence Hackett, Kevin Gomez, Jorky Peralta, Felton Binns and Jerome Watkins are all listed as plaintiffs in this lawsuit.

Drakeo’s brother and the other plaintiffs are suing for negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Major League Soccer and Los Angeles Football Club are also listed as defendants.

Drakeo’s brother is pointing at lack of security at Once Upon A Time In LA, and said that Drakeo was a victim of a “violent mob attack.” The weak security in place is being labeled as “lackadaisical to totally absent.”

Drakeo’s brother also added that the venue, Exposition Park, is in an area with many gang members, and that Drakeo was a target. Gang members were also supposedly yelling out their affiliations, and weren’t checked by security. Two checkpoints were in place, without the strong security presence that was needed.

Drakeo’s brother added that the LA rapper was attacked by a group of 50-100 people. This all went down in the backstage area of the festival. It also shockingly took 30 minutes for Drakeo to finally receive medical assistance. He went on to succumb to his injuries at a local hospital.

That same month, Drakeo released his new “So Cold I Do Em 2” album. In 2021, he broke out as a star, with the success of his “Talk To Me” single, ft. Drake. That record also appeared on Drakeo’s “The Truth Hurts” album, which was also released in 2021.
