What Jay-Z is to New York City, Snoop Dogg is to Los Angeles. Their careers mirrored, especially when Snoop Dogg took an executive role at Priority Records. Of course, not on the level of Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg was receiving praise for his business acumen and even was instrumental in Dr. Dre and Game reuniting.

Doing some of everything in business, Snoop Dogg has continued making music. Before going in the direction of Snoop Lion, he worked with many of the up-and-coming rappers from Los Angeles. Nipsey Hussle and Terrace Martin are only two of the many rising artists out West who worked with Snoop Dogg.

Despite all of Snoop Dogg’s accomplishments, he still finds himself facing the same fate of many others. Before him, Ja Rule and Beanie Sigel, also owed thousands in back taxes and are currently behind bars. Now, Snoop Dogg is the latest rapper revealed to be facing back taxes with him owing $546,270 in back taxes for 2009 and 2011.
