Snoop Dogg says he has decided to give up smoking

Snoop Dogg is a thirty year veteran in the game and, among other things, he’s built an amazing brand. A lot of his branding is that of his lifestyle as a smoker. With thirty years under his belt, this has become a part of his identity. Plus, his efforts have likely played a role in most states considering legalizing it, if they haven’t already. Despite this, Snoop Dogg announced he is done with the smoking lifestyle.

Snoop Dogg built one of the most iconic American brands, through his career. While most of it stems from music, Snoop is much more than a rapper. The past decade has seen Snoop on television as a host, alongside Martha Stewart. In addition, he has become a fixture with commercials, doing work with all kinds of brands, primarily Modelo.

Snoop Dogg recently relaunched Death Row Records and has opened new revenue sources for his former label. Prior to Snoop taking over the label, Death Row had many major negative opinions surrounding the company. Not only has Snoop made it commercial friendly, by gifting Steph Curry, and Bad Boy Records chains, but he also has a t-shirt line. Now, as a father and grandfather, Snoop says he’s no longer smoking.
