Currently, Snoop Dogg is preparing for the release of his twelfth studio album, Reincarnated. Much like the rest of the hip hop world, Snoop Dogg is in Texas at SXSW. It was twenty years ago when hip hop was first introduced to Snoop Dogg. Nineteen years ago have passed since the release of his debut album. The hip hop landscape was extremely different than 2012’s hip hop landscape, but the name Snoop Dogg has remained relevant.
Snoop Dogg is recording his Reincarnated album and he still has new tricks up his sleeve. Even though he has mellowed out over the past few years, Snoop Dogg is still considered one of the more hardcore rappers in the game. However, the toning down of Snoop Dogg will continue on this new album. Snoop Dogg revealed he will display more of his loving and caring side on the new album, which is his true personality.
Despite the “gangsta” persona, Snoop Dogg revealed his true personality is loving and caring and he has never had an opportunity to display this on his previous albums. MTV News caught up with Snoop Dogg and they discussed this, along with much more at SXSW.
