During the 1980s, two of the most-popular groups in hip hop were NWA and Run-DMC. The two groups represented different parts of the nation and different styles. NWA was radical and hailed from Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Run-DMC presented the party everywhere they went and were from New York City, the birthplace of hip hop.

Despite their two different styles, older people saw both groups as threats. Their style of music represented a change in the generations. Both groups had a major impact on society and opened doors for many other rappers. While NWA and Run-DMC had their impact on the game, like everything else, their time came and went.

The members of both groups are no longer young, instead they find themselves fathers of children older than they were during their peaks. D’Extra Wiley recently recruited the sons of Eazy-E, Eric Wright, Jr., also known as Lil’ Eazy-E, Dr. Dre’s son, Curtis Young, Jam Master Jay’s son, Jason Mizell, MC Ren’s son, Anthony Dunbar, and E-40’s son, Droop-E, for “Seeds of Hip Hop.”

“Seeds of Hip Hop” is a reality show D’Extra Wiley is currently pitching to Viacom’s VH1 and BET, along with FUSE TV.
