Where TIDAL is concerned, it’s hard to know what’s true and false surrounding the company. Indeed, Jay Z’s newest business has experienced many startup struggles. But, it seems like there are people rooting for TIDAL to fail.
This afternoon, news broke of the big three record labels pulling their support of the company. If indeed true, this would mean Beyonce and the other owners would not have music on TIDAL. There is more to the story, of course.
The story was presented as Sony pulling Beyonce’s music off TIDAL. But, the head of Sony, former Universal head, Doug Morris, is speaking out. A longtime friend of Jay Z, Doug Morris is name-dropped on Kingdom Come and he spoke to Billboard about the rumors, denying the reports of him pulling Sony out of TIDAL, as Jay is his friend and he supports the venture.
