Soulja Boy ordered to pay $235,900 in assault case
Soulja Boy is still recognized by many, as one of the biggest influential artists in regards to making an impact with music coming into the 2000s social media era. 2007 saw his breakout year with his “Crank That” single, and has had several more hits, since that year. That included “Turn My Swag On” and “Pretty Boy Swag.” Soulja also had a brief comeback in 2018, and early 2019.
However, Soulja has had several legal issues as well, regarding reported abuse of women. One dates back to 2019, when he allegedly kidnapped and assaulted her, at his Los Angeles home. This woman is Kayla Meyers, as this went on to be a civil case.
As a result, Soulja is now being ordered to pay Meyers $235,000 for this crime, according to documents obtained by Radar Online. $1,800 accounted for “mental health expenses” and $234,100 for Meyers’ “physical and mental pain and suffering,” The jury in the case added that Soulja caused “malice, oppression or fraud.”
Meyers also delivered a testimony last week, where she provided evidence. This included photos of her three broken ribs, as well as text messages from Soulja
