Soulja Boy has been relatively quiet over the past year ever since he went to jail for violating probation. This came after he went on an epic Breakfast Club rant in January 2019 where he said he put artists such as Migos, Famous Dex & Chief Keef on. He also took a shot at Drake by saying he copied his whole flow; word for word, bar for bar.
Now, Big Soulja is sticking his chest out again on social media as this time, he tweeted this morning that he changed the whole music industry. He has a point here as he helped change the way how artists monetize their music on YouTube. This all started with the release of his breakout 2007 hit single, “Crank That.”
Many fans are starting to agree with Soulja as they point out how he got signed at 16 using the Internet. They also cited how he helped contribute to how artists get discovered online. He now continues to put out mixtapes at a consistent rate all while exploring additional business ventures. Check out some of the reactions to his claim below.
